Correspondence and financial documents. Correspondence, consisting of 22 items dated 1815-1878, focuses on Sánchez' role as business partner of Mariano Riva Palacio in the operation of the latter's haciendas. Correspondents include landowners Antonio and José María Carvajal, Manuel Robelo, and Francisco Ontiveros, as well as the shipping agent José María Vásquez and the hacienda manager José María Caballero. Only one letter is from Riva Palacio. The twelve financial documents, dated 1828-1868, reflect both Sánchez' legal responsibilities regarding wills and chaplaincies and his long tenure as administrator of María Teresa Castañiza, Countess de Bassoco's bequest for the education of poor children.
